Bio

Joshua Nicolás Prits-Del Carpio, also known as Nico Prince, is an American writer, filmmaker, and musician originally from the DC metro area. Born in Los Angeles to a Peruvian mother and a Belorussian father, he’s lived in several countries and describes himself as a loving globalist. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University’s Media Production program, and is certified by the University of Salamanca in Spanish language and culture. As a recognized music artist, screenwriter, and filmmaker, Joshua Nicolás has produced, directed, and assistant directed Short Films, Music Videos, and Concept Trailers. As a writer, he’s competed in several festivals and contests, and wrote for the webseries Soul-Mates in 2018. In late 2021 he announced his upcoming novel The Acceleration.

Since 2020, he has performed under the name Nico Prince and released his debut independent album Basile Demo on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other streaming platforms. His music is described as a colorful mixture of r&b, rap, and bedroom pop. His follow up EP Deus;Ex;Machiavelli was released in August 2021.
